A flagship Dubai hospital running a comprehensive urology and robotic surgery programme is recruiting a Consultant Urologist. The department is equipped with a da Vinci robotic surgical system, laser lithotripsy suite, flexible cystoscopy unit, and dedicated urodynamics laboratory, supporting a full range of reconstructive and uro-oncological procedures.

About the Role

This senior clinical role encompasses uro-oncology, endourology, and reconstructive urology. The successful candidate will contribute to the robotic surgery programme, lead outpatient clinics, perform complex reconstructive and oncological procedures, and contribute to departmental leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct urology outpatient clinics managing BPH, LUTS, male factor infertility, erectile dysfunction, urolithiasis, and urological malignancies
• Perform endourological procedures including TURP, TURBT, URS, PCNL, and flexible cystoscopy
• Perform and assist with robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, radical cystectomy, and partial nephrectomy if robotics-trained
• Participate in the uro-oncology MDT with medical oncology, radiation oncology, and urology nursing
• Manage complex reconstructive urology cases including urethroplasty, urinary diversion, and pelvic floor repair
• Provide perioperative urological consultation for complex surgical cases involving the urinary tract
• Lead departmental audit, governance, and quality improvement initiatives
• Supervise and train urology residents and theatre nursing staff

Requirements & Qualifications

• Medical degree with full postgraduate training in Urology
• Fellowship or Consultant-grade certification (FRCS Urology, EBU, Arab Board, or equivalent)
• Minimum 8 years post-specialist experience in a hospital-based urology department
• DHA Consultant-grade eligibility or existing DHA Urology license
• Uro-oncology surgical competency including laparoscopic or robotic experience
• Endourology skills including PCNL and flexible ureteroscopy
• Robotic surgery training or certification is a significant advantage
• Strong commitment to multidisciplinary oncology working
