Specialist Pediatrician | Ras Al Khaimah, UAE

A leading hospital in Ras Al Khaimah is recruiting a Specialist Pediatrician to provide high-quality general paediatric care to the emirate’s growing child population. The hospital has a dedicated paediatric ward, a paediatric high-dependency bay, and a neonatal unit with close links to tertiary paediatric services in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

About the Role

This role offers a varied outpatient and inpatient paediatric caseload covering general paediatric medicine, neonatology, and paediatric emergency presentations. The candidate will work closely with paediatric nurses, neonatology colleagues, and a supportive general medical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct general paediatric outpatient clinics covering respiratory infections, asthma, gastroenterological disorders, growth and developmental concerns, and vaccination programmes
• Provide general paediatric inpatient care including ward rounds, treatment planning, and discharge management
• Assess and stabilise paediatric emergency presentations in collaboration with the emergency department team
• Provide neonatal care including management of term and near-term neonates requiring observation, phototherapy, and IV antibiotics
• Perform routine paediatric procedures including LP, IV access, nasogastric tube placement, and nebulised therapy
• Participate in child protection safeguarding in accordance with UAE MOH and MOHAP guidelines
• Contribute to developmental screening, school health, and community paediatric outreach
• Supervise interns and junior medical officers in the paediatric department

Requirements & Qualifications

• Medical degree with postgraduate specialty training in Paediatrics
• Specialist-grade qualification in Paediatrics (MRCPCH, Arab Board Paediatrics, FAAP, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years post-specialist clinical experience in general paediatrics
• MOHAP Specialist-grade eligibility or existing MOHAP Paediatrics license
• Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) certification
• APLS or PALS certification preferred
• Paediatric procedural competency and emergency stabilisation skills
