Doctors register with the GMC, nurses and midwives with the NMC, dentists with the GDC and pharmacists with the GPhC. International graduates usually pass a regulator's knowledge test (PLAB 1, NMC CBT, ORE Part 1, GPhC registration assessment) and a clinical exam before registration.
