Specialist Paediatrician | Ras Al Khaimah, UAE
A well-established general hospital in Ras Al Khaimah is recruiting a MOHAP-licensed Specialist Paediatrician. The department covers general paediatric inpatients and outpatients, a neonatal unit, a paediatric emergency bay, and well-baby and immunisation clinics.
About the Role
The specialist will manage a varied general paediatric caseload across all age groups — neonates to adolescents — combining outpatient clinic work, inpatient ward rounds, neonatal cover, and paediatric emergency assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage general paediatric inpatient wards with daily ward rounds and MDT reviews
- Run paediatric outpatient clinics covering respiratory, GI, neurodevelopmental, allergic, and infectious disease presentations
- Provide paediatric cover for the emergency department
- Manage neonatal unit patients including premature infants, jaundice, sepsis, and feeding difficulties
- Conduct well-baby clinics, developmental assessments, and immunisation clinics
- Liaise with paediatric subspecialty services (cardiology, surgery, endocrinology)
Requirements & Qualifications
- Medical degree with full postgraduate training in Paediatrics
- Specialist qualification (MRCPCH, Arab Board Paediatrics, or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years post-specialist experience in a hospital paediatric department
- MOHAP Specialist-grade eligibility or existing MOHAP Paediatrics license
- Competency in general paediatrics and neonatal care; APLS/PALS or equivalent
