A well-established multi-specialty hospital group in Abu Dhabi is recruiting a Specialist in Internal Medicine to strengthen its general medical services. The hospital is affiliated with international academic centres and serves a diverse expatriate and national patient base across multiple sites in the capital.

About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to practice broad-based internal medicine in a modern, well-equipped environment. You will manage a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, support emergency admissions, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage acute and chronic medical conditions across general internal medicine, including diabetes, hypertension, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and renal disease
• Conduct structured outpatient clinics and provide follow-up for complex chronic disease patients
• Provide on-call and ward cover for general medical admissions in rotation with the departmental team
• Collaborate with subspecialists, surgery, emergency medicine, and critical care teams
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic investigations including laboratory and imaging
• Maintain accurate, detailed clinical documentation in the hospital information system
• Participate in morning rounds, handover, clinical audit, and quality improvement projects
• Contribute to CME activities and assist in the supervision of junior medical officers

Requirements & Qualifications

• Primary medical qualification (MBBS, MBChB, MD or equivalent) from a WHO-recognised institution
• Postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine (MRCP, FACP, Arab Board, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialist qualification experience in Internal Medicine
• DOH Specialist-grade eligibility or existing DOH/HAAD license
• Proficiency in clinical history-taking, physical examination, and procedural skills relevant to the specialty
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and the ability to manage complex multimorbidity patients
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to patient-centred care
