Specialist ENT Surgeon | Sharjah, UAE

An established hospital group in Sharjah is seeking a Specialist ENT Surgeon to join its active ear, nose, and throat surgical department. The department is well-equipped for both paediatric and adult ENT, with modern endoscopy suites, audiological services, and a dedicated ENT theatre list running five days per week.

About the Role

This role offers a broad surgical caseload covering rhinology, otology, and laryngology, with strong support from audiology, speech therapy, and allergy services. The candidate will manage a high-volume outpatient clinic alongside regular theatre lists and inpatient consultation duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume ENT outpatient clinic covering ear disease, sinonasal disorders, throat pathology, head and neck lumps, and sleep-disordered breathing
• Perform functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), septoplasty, turbinate reduction, and nasal polypectomy
• Carry out tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, myringotomy and grommet insertion, and mastoid surgery
• Manage adult and paediatric hearing loss including assessment for hearing aids and cochlear implantation workup
• Provide emergency ENT consultation for epistaxis, peritonsillar abscess, foreign body, and acute airway compromise
• Liaise with audiology, speech therapy, and allergy specialists in shared-care pathways
• Participate in clinical governance, morbidity review, and departmental audit
• Supervise junior medical staff and interns in the ENT department

Requirements & Qualifications

• Medical degree with postgraduate specialty training in ENT/Otorhinolaryngology
• Specialist-grade qualification in ENT (FRCS ORL-HNS, Arab Board, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years post-specialist experience covering general ENT surgery
• MOHAP Specialist-grade eligibility or existing MOHAP ENT license
• Proficiency in FESS, otological microsurgery, and paediatric ENT procedures
• Head and neck oncology or skull base surgery experience is advantageous
• Strong caseload documentation and audit skills
• Good communication skills for managing paediatric patients and families
