Specialist Radiologist – MRI & CT | Sharjah, UAE
A well-equipped multi-specialty hospital in Sharjah is recruiting a Specialist Radiologist with a strong background in MRI and CT reporting to join its busy radiology department. The department operates modern 3T MRI and 256-slice CT scanners, covering a wide variety of elective and emergency imaging across all body systems.
About the Role
This role offers a high-volume reporting environment with a varied case mix including musculoskeletal, neurological, abdominal, chest, and oncological imaging. You will work alongside a collegial team of radiologists and imaging technologists in a facility known for its efficient workflow and excellent clinical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Report high-volume MRI and CT examinations across multiple body systems including brain, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal
- Provide urgent reporting for emergency department and ICU imaging requests within agreed turnaround times
- Conduct plain radiograph and ultrasound reporting as part of the departmental workload
- Perform fluoroscopy-guided procedures including barium studies and basic interventional procedures where trained
- Liaise with referring clinicians on complex or unexpected imaging findings
- Participate in radiology departmental meetings, MDT conferences, and clinical governance activities
- Maintain accurate radiology reports using structured reporting templates and PACS/RIS systems
- Assist in training radiology technologists and junior medical staff in imaging protocols
Requirements & Qualifications
- Medical degree with postgraduate specialty training in Diagnostic Radiology
- Specialist-grade certification in Radiology (FRCR, Arab Board, EBIR, or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of post-specialist experience with demonstrated MRI and CT reporting competency
- MOHAP Specialist-grade eligibility or existing MOHAP license for Sharjah
- Proficiency in structured report writing and PACS/RIS systems
- Experience reporting a broad case mix including neurological, musculoskeletal, and cross-sectional body imaging
- Interventional radiology skills are an advantage but not essential
- Ability to meet agreed reporting turnaround times in a high-volume environment
