One of Dubai’s flagship private hospitals is seeking an experienced Consultant Cardiologist to join its internationally accredited cardiac centre. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art catheterisation laboratories, non-invasive imaging suites, and a high-dependency cardiac care unit, supporting a full range of diagnostic and interventional cardiology services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead outpatient cardiology clinics, perform and supervise non-invasive cardiac investigations, provide inpatient consultation, and participate in the departmental interventional programme if subspecialty-trained. This is a senior clinical role with genuine opportunities to shape the department’s service development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct general and subspecialty cardiology outpatient clinics, including complex heart failure, arrhythmia, and valvular disease
• Perform and report echocardiography (TTE and TOE), stress testing, Holter monitoring, and other non-invasive investigations
• Provide inpatient consultation for acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, decompensated heart failure, and peri-operative cardiac assessment
• Lead and participate in the cardiac MDT, liaising with cardiac surgery, electrophysiology, and vascular teams
• Perform coronary angiography and PCI if interventionally trained (significant advantage)
• Supervise cardiology fellows, residents, and nursing staff in the cardiac care unit
• Drive clinical audit, protocol development, and governance within the cardiology department
• Represent the department at hospital leadership and clinical governance forums

Requirements & Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognised institution with postgraduate specialty training in Cardiology
• Fellowship or Consultant-grade certification (FRCP, FACC, FESC, Arab Board Cardiology, or equivalent)
• Minimum 8 years post-specialist clinical experience, including at least 3 years at Consultant level in Cardiology
• DHA Consultant-grade eligibility or existing DHA Cardiologist license
• Proficiency in transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography
• Interventional cardiology skills (coronary angiography, PCI) are a significant advantage
• Strong track record in clinical governance and service improvement
• Excellent communication skills for patient consultation and multidisciplinary teamwork
