A top-tier Dubai private hospital with an internationally accredited Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Centre is seeking a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon to strengthen its surgical team. The department operates four dedicated orthopedic theatres, advanced arthroscopy suites, and a specialist joint replacement programme treating patients from across the UAE and the wider GCC.

About the Role

The successful candidate will practice the full breadth of orthopedic surgery, with particular emphasis on joint replacement arthroplasty, trauma, and sports-related injuries. The hospital offers access to the latest implant systems, navigation technology, and a dedicated orthopedic physiotherapy and rehabilitation unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform primary and revision total hip and knee replacement arthroplasty using current implant systems and navigation technology
• Manage acute orthopedic trauma including complex fracture fixation and peri-articular injuries
• Conduct arthroscopic procedures of the knee, shoulder, and hip including ligament reconstruction and meniscal repair
• Lead subspecialty outpatient clinics and provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative follow-up
• Participate in the orthopedic emergency and on-call rota
• Liaise with physiotherapy, anaesthesia, and pain management teams in the multidisciplinary pathway
• Contribute to clinical governance, morbidity and mortality review, and quality improvement initiatives
• Supervise and train orthopedic registrars and theatre nursing staff

Requirements & Qualifications

• Medical degree with full postgraduate specialty training in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship or Consultant-grade certification (FRCS Orth, FACS, Arab Board Orthopaedics, or equivalent)
• Minimum 8 years post-specialist experience including at least 3 years at Consultant level
• DHA Consultant-grade eligibility or existing DHA Orthopedic Surgeon license
• Documented competency in joint replacement arthroplasty and trauma surgery
• Sports medicine or arthroscopy subspecialty training is a significant advantage
• Clean surgical track record with no GMC/regulatory restrictions
• Strong patient communication skills in English; Arabic is advantageous
