A busy Dubai private hospital with a busy maternity and women’s health unit is recruiting an experienced Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology. The unit delivers over 2,500 babies annually, operates a dedicated high-risk obstetric service, and offers a full range of gynaecological surgical procedures including advanced laparoscopy.

About the Role

This role combines high-volume obstetric practice with active gynaecological surgery. The candidate will manage antenatal and postnatal care, conduct intrapartum care and operative delivery, and perform gynaecological procedures including diagnostic and operative laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a full antenatal and postnatal clinic caseload including high-risk obstetric conditions such as pre-eclampsia, GDM, multiple pregnancy, and fetal growth restriction
• Provide intrapartum care including conduct of normal deliveries, assisted vaginal delivery, and emergency caesarean section
• Perform elective and emergency caesarean sections to a high standard with low complication rates
• Conduct gynaecological outpatient clinics for menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, fertility issues, and gynaecological oncology referrals
• Perform diagnostic and operative laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, LLETZ, and minor gynaecological procedures
• Participate in the obstetric emergency team including PPH, eclampsia, and shoulder dystocia drills
• Contribute to maternal morbidity review, perinatal audit, and departmental governance
• Supervise junior doctors, midwives, and obstetric nurses

Requirements & Qualifications

• Medical degree with full postgraduate specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Specialist-grade qualification (MRCOG, Arab Board OG, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years post-MRCOG or equivalent experience in a hospital-based OG unit
• DHA Specialist-grade eligibility or existing DHA OG license
• Competency in emergency obstetrics including CS, assisted delivery, and PPH management
• Laparoscopic surgical skills for diagnostic and operative gynaecology
• Experience managing high-risk obstetric conditions in a tertiary or busy district unit
• Strong communication skills for patient-centred maternity care
