Sweden: licensing exam preparation
Licensed professionals educated outside the EU/EEA apply to the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) for a licence. After assessment of the education, doctors, nurses and several other professions take a proficiency test with a theoretical and a practical part, followed by a course in Swedish health legislation and supervised practice. The doctors' test is run by Umeå University, the nurses' test by the University of Gothenburg with Umeå University and Linnaeus University.
