Specialist Cardiologist | Dubai, UAE
A leading multi-specialty hospital in Dubai is seeking a DHA-licensed Specialist Cardiologist. The facility operates two cardiac catheterisation laboratories, a dedicated cardiac ICU, an echocardiography unit, and a 24/7 chest pain pathway.
About the Role
This position offers a comprehensive non-invasive and general cardiology caseload covering outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, echocardiogram reporting, and participation in the hospital’s MDT cardiovascular case conferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outpatient cardiology clinics for coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmia, valvular disease, and hypertension
- Perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, and ambulatory blood pressure studies
- Provide inpatient cardiology consultations and manage acute cardiac presentations in the emergency and cardiac care units
- Participate in the cardiology on-call rota and cross-cover for the cardiac step-down unit
- Contribute to cardiac audit, quality improvement, and departmental CPD
- Supervise and teach junior medical staff and cardiology trainees
Requirements & Qualifications
- Medical degree with full postgraduate specialty training in Cardiology
- Specialist qualification (MRCP with cardiology subspecialty, Arab Board Cardiology, or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years post-specialist experience in a hospital cardiology unit
- DHA Specialist-grade eligibility or existing DHA Cardiology license
- Competency in echocardiography and non-invasive cardiac investigations
- Interventional cardiology skills (PCI/angiography) are a strong advantage
